Arrival

 

Upon arrival at the hotel we decided to start the investigation in the top floor bedrooms, due to a pole dancing evening taking place in the bar.  We decided to put all the equipment into bedroom 3 and then work out 4 groups to split into.

 

We were shown around the hotel and into each room, I became aware of an elderly lady around the stairs area and also the energy of a gentleman in the cellar area, who I felt was a Methodist and would walk from the church area next door through the courtyard and into the cellar.  I felt that he wasn't too happy about the bar and the drinking taking place.

 

Bedroom 3

 

I was in a group of 4 and we decided to start in bedroom 3.  This was very light due to the many street amps outside and also you could hear the music from downstairs, but although there were these disturbances we still decided to try and call out for temperature changes, lights or noises.

 

We id get some taps from near the window, but there was also a fridge in that area so we could not completely disregard that the noise could have come from that.  We also heard a couple of footstep towards the corner of the room near the other window.  The best thing was a very obvious cold spot in the centre of the room.  This stayed for quite a while and was also felt by others who had entered the room a little later.

 

Bedroom 2

 

Again, this was quite a light room, with noises coming from downstairs.  We relaxed and asked again for spirit to make us aware of their presence.  There were a few white lights spotted in the shower and also another in-between the beds on the cup on the small in the middle.

 

Glass Moving

 

We decided to get everyone together again and try out a bit of glass moving.  We did this a bit earlier than we had thought would be good as a couple of the people had got to leave early.  We had the glass moving very quickly with a group of about 5 people around the table.  We established a connection with a gentleman called Paul, who had passed in the 1750s and lived nearby. He had Methodist connections and was shot.

 

We then also connected with a lady in her 70s her had been staying at the hotel on holiday with her family, when she passed into the world of spirit after a heart attack.  This had taken place in room 3.  This has yet to be confirmed by facts which we will try and retrieve.  She gave us her name and a few other facts and figures.

 

One person asked if they could go and move the trigger object which was placed in the cellar earlier, and at that exact point they both completely disappeared!

 

We then had a couple of relatives of people around the circle with some good evidence and information which they were going away to double check on.

 

The Corridors

 

By this time the bar downstairs was closing so we decided to split into 3 groups, following a few people leaving, and concentrate on the cellar, courtyard and corridors.  We split into 2 couples and me and another person sat at the top of the stairs in the 2nd floor corridor, whilst the other couple stood at the bottom of the stairs by the kitchen.

 

We didn't experience anything at all, but the other couple had a cold breeze, saw a shadow move across the window in the kitchen door and heard footsteps coming from the top of the stairs (this was odd as it was closer to us, but we didn't hear them at all).

 

Bathroom

 

We decided to pay a visit to the bathroom near the top of the first flight of stairs as I just felt quite drawn to it.  We had just started asking for spirit to show us something when one person literally ran across the room after being touched on the leg.  When we switched on the torch the toilet paper was moving as well, but this could have been from the draught from the person moving.

 

All 3 others could feel someone standing near to the sink, but I must say I wasn't aware of a particular presence, although there was a strange atmosphere in there?

 

Courtyard

 

Following my information I had gather on the show around about the man in the cellar we decided that it might be useful to see if anyone would pick anything up in the courtyard area.  This was quite cold, but I was made aware of the same gentleman and also picked this up in the walkway down the side of the hotel.  I also felt that the building had been added to quite a few times over the years, almost knocking separate houses into one and adding in extra rooms on the side. 

 

The area where the toilets are had the feel that they had not been there when the gentleman had been in the physical.  Apparently the toilets are meant to be active as well, so we paid them a quick visit, but nothing was picked up.

 

Cellar

 

There is a very odd feeling about the cellar area, and staff report feeling as they are being watched when down there.  The ice machine has been known to turn itself off and also other paranormal activity has been reported down there.  We decided to stand in the dark at the furthest end of the cellar near the cold fan.  When we were in there the temperature did drop 2 degrees, but this could well have been normal. 

 

One of the group was physically pushed from behind and we all heard shuffling footsteps coming from the other area of the cellar.

 

Bar

 

We decided that it would be a good idea to try some table tilting in the bar, after trying for a while to get phenomenon by calling out.

 

After a while the table started to move and we managed to re-establish the connection with Paul, who we had talked to earlier through the glass moving.  The table would move around the group, tip onto a couple of legs in the direction stated, and even managed to move with everyone only having one finger each on the table.  This was a very heavy table as it was round with metal legs which was quite difficult to move individually.

 

While this was occurring, another person witnessed seeing white lights around the foot of the bar and there were also clicks heard in the corner of the bar, near the DJ stand.

 

Conclusion

 

This was a very interesting place and it would be good to go back with a smaller group and a more controlled experiment basis.  I would like to position some sensors in some of the corridors and to do some more work on the cellar and bar with trigger objects.  The trigger object experiment we tried to carry out on the night was ruined by the DJ placing his equipment on top of it!
