Arrival

 

On arrival at the centre we discovered there was only five of us, so we had a large area to try and cover so after a walk around the centre with one of the staff we made a plan of action and decided to split into 2 groups for the first part.  One group in the lobster area and the other in the front area - venom and arcade.

 

We then decided to join up to go into the main auditorium for a séance and then round to the octopus area.

 

Lobster & Crab Area

 

When I had been into the centre previously with my children I had been very aware of people around the lobster area, so this was were we decided to sit and start.

 

It was a difficult area to listen out for any noises as the tanks were quite loud, but there was certainly a strange atmosphere.  I was more than aware of a gentleman standing in front of us, someone next to me experienced a tugging on her bag and could hear a noise next to her.  She thought it was a waterfall, but when we turned on the torches to check what was there, there was nothing!

 

We asked the man and anyone else to try and make themselves seen, or heard but without much success (or so we thought!) Two of us saw a dark shadow walk across the room in front of us though and I though I had seen a face looking around the corner - but then wasn't sure if it was just my eyes playing tricks on me.

 

After a while we decided to perch around the back of the crab tank where the main atmosphere seemed to be coming from and I was made very aware of a young girl cuddled up close to her mother and them gradually falling into a sleep.  I'm not sure if this was from gas poisoning or pills.  But it was very soft and touching.  Just after this the main generators for the tanks came on with a sudden noise which really made us jump, and changed the general atmosphere  so we decided to swap over with the other group.

 

Front of the Centre

 

After looking for sea snakes in the Venom area we went into the main arcade and were standing chatting when we felt drawn to go towards the buggy park area near the entrance to the building.

 

When walking down the corridor I was made very aware of a military gentleman in his uniform walking down the corridor with me.  The strange thing was that I only wanted to walk half way down the second part of the corridor and go no further.  When I asked him why he talked about going upstairs to his office.  When we asked the person who worked there he wasn't aware of an upstairs, but this man was very insistent.  After a short while we got a key into the cleaners room which was next to where I wanted to stop. At the back of the room was some steps which then went up to a small room above the corridor we had been standing in.  He confirmed that this had been his office and his secretary sat in the other part opposite.

 

I got the names of George, Charles and Arthur associated with him.  He talked about his family living in Brighton and he had a daughter and a couple of sons.  He was a sergeant and was in charge of making sure everything was in it's correct place throughout the building.  I did previously have knowledge that this building was used by the army in war times.  I had picked up on a bang on the back of his head at some point but wasn't sure it this was what he had passed over from.

 

We were then in the main arcade again when the other group radioed through to ask if we had made any noises or moved from the front of the building as they had heard a loud bang, which they thought might have been one of the doors near the tunnel banging shut.  They had also heard what they thought sounded like someone talking, almost like a very quiet radio.  We re not sure if this sound is from the tanks or not.

 

The Main Auditorium

 

We decided to hold a séance altogether, joined by a worker from the centre, in the main area. When entering and looking around the big tank there were 2 very loud bangs which seemed to come from the tunnel area.  We were all in the main area and all accounted for so we can only assume these loud bangs are paranormal activity.

 

When we asked for signs of spirit activity in the séance we didn't really get much at all, but strangely the sharks all decided to group together in front of where we were sitting and circle.  The worker from the centre said this was very unusual and he had never seen them do this before, as they are practically tame sharks as they are fed dead food and don't really do this circular action.  They also know exactly when it is feeding time.

 

The Tunnel

 

We decided to check out the loud noises from below and went downstairs.  If you stamp on the wooden ramps into the tunnel it makes the exact same noise as we heard, but after asking them to repeat the noise we were unsuccessful.

 

In the tunnel we sat at various intervals and one of the group called out.  It was light in here as the lights for the tank were on, but it was pitch black at the end of the tunnel where you go into the Octopus Section.  When calling out for noises we could hear bangs coming from the Octopus area after each request.  We couldn't establish a strong enough link to be able to hold a conversation and get more information.  The sharks decided to do the same unusual circling motion they had done before, but this time above one of the members head - very odd!

 

Myself and another decided to enter into the Octopus area to see if we could get any more, and when called for again, there was 4 raps to the side of the prawns tank in the centre of the room.

 

I didn't experience anything in this area really, but the other person did see something come over the railings where the walkway is, although not exactly sure what.

 

Glass Moving

 

We decided to try out some glass moving in the cafe area in the main arcade.  After a while with nothing much happening we decided to move into the Lobster area and have a try there.

 

We had a gentleman come through, which I believe to be the same man I had been talking to earlier in the buggy area.  He confirmed he was a military man but the name of Georgie. He also confirmed that we had been in his office earlier.  He talked about his family which matched with our previous information as well.  He also confirmed that he was a fisherman by trade.

 

It then went quite quiet and I had the impression that he wanted to try and show himself.  I asked the others to be quiet and listen out and look.  I went into a semiconscious state - similar to the start of trance, and 2 of the others talked about being able to see a mans face of the front of one of the other members of the groups face.

As 2 people saw this it was quite interesting.  I didn't as I had my eyes closed.

 

We decided to call it a night.

 

The Video

During the investigation 2 members of the group had video cameras running at various times.  On one of the cameras it is very plain to see a young spirit girl in front of myself and another group member, when we were just starting our sit in the Lobster area at the beginning of the investigation.  She is holding the hands of 2 adults as well, one of which is clearer to see than the other.  I will post some pictures of this in the gallery once we have the stills sorted out.

 

On the same video we also managed to record the 2 loud bangs which were heard when we were in the auditorium.

 

Conclusion

A really exciting and wonderful investigation.  Not only was the general feelings around the place felt by everyone present, but we experienced the loud noises and raps whilst there.  Information which was picked up clairvoyantly was later confirmed in the glass moving (we hadn't told the other 2 members of the group what we had already found out about this man).  The way the gentleman had tried to show himself to a couple of members of the group; then the video footage appears to be the icing on the cake!!

 

A place which I would certainly say is active with spirit activity, and an investigation which although long seemed to go very quickly.
