Arrival

We arrived at the site and it felt quite different to when I had been there last time.  It felt very normal, like any other wood and not at all eerie or strange in any way.  We decided to take a walk around the area, and again there was not a lot to report at all.

The Old Mansion Site

One of the group decided to venture onto the old mansion site whilst the rest of us stayed by the fields.  There was not a lot to report until he was calling out for something to happen.  From where we were standing we heard quite a loud crack and could also hear voices talking, although not clear enough to work out what they were saying.  In the area the member of the group had seen a piece of wood move down a pile of wood for no apparent reason, and not making as much noise as we had heard.  He had also been unaware of the voices.

When we went and joined him in the area I became aware of a lady with two children, a girl and a boy, who were around, but just visiting.  There was a gentleman I became aware of as well, who was some sort of grounds man.  This man had been quite small and thin and would have had a very bent back.  He was a bit of a strange character and was very much a loner.  The lady and child were quite wary of him.  I was also made aware of a fire in the building that had been there and was also shown burn marks down the side of a face.

The Lake and Wood

We walked around the lake area, without any incident at all, and then up into the wood.  Both felt absolutely fine and nothing strange or unusual at all.  We tried some EVP in the wood and left a camera by the lake, but with nothing to report on either.

Conclusion

This was a very different atmosphere to the previous time I had been to this location.  The odd feeling of being watched and strange presences had disappeared.  It was almost as if someone had come down and cleansed it.  What was interesting was that the rubbish that was there previously had been cleared, so maybe this was the cause of the change??

Pub Meeting

As we were taking a group out which had never done an investigation before the group put together a small presentation about the investigation, what we would be doing and group organisation together before going onto the investigation itself.  This was a great idea and got everybody ready to know what to expect and what to do once on location.

The Old Mansion Site

The group I was with moved onto the mansion site first. Once again there was a burning sensation, similar to what I had felt when there before.  I was also once more aware of the gentleman, but almost as if he was keeping in the shadows.  We moved around the area but nothing amasing was caught.  There were a couple of orbs caught on camera, but we need to remember that this was on a cold and damp night, so not necessarily paranormal!

We were able to stand in what we felt was the front door area of the house, but this was about all.

The Lake

When we stood by the lake I was getting nothing at all.  One of the other group members could feel an impact to the side of the head, so I told her to go with it and see if she could get any more.  After a short while I became aware of a young boy of about 7 who walked along the pathway towards us.  He walked me back along the path and straight to the edge of the lake, next to a tree.  I felt that he had had an impact to the head and died near to this spot.  He seemed to get more agitated as if looking for his mum and kept asking why she had left him there?

It was a bit strange, but I asked my guides to step in and help out.  They went to look for his mum, but it was almost still in the physical and couldn't be found. I could see his granddad come towards us and the two of them seemed to leave together.  I'm not sure whether this is exactly what happened for real, but the atmosphere after this occurred completely changed.  What is strange is that I never told the rest of the group what was happening, but they wre the ones who afterwards said that they felt very different and those who had sensed a child around could no longer feel him.

The atmosphere changed completely and it was almost as if someone quite foreboding had entered the area.  He didn't seem too happy and all of us decided to leave the area quite quickly!

The Wood

We all walked up the hill into the wood, which was a bit creepy, but just really because it was a wood in the dark.  I could feel us being followed by a gentleman, who I recognised as being the gamekeeper from when I had been there before.  When we got further in we decided to stand and call out to see if we could get anything more solid and physical to report. 

When we called out we did get a crack in response.  As it is a wood and it was raining this didn't surprise me at all, but we asked a number of times, and each time we were replied with a crack which could be heard by everyone present.  Although there was no conclusive evidence which we could use to check up on, it was interesting all the same.

Conclusion

When I first arrived in the car a spirit gentleman approached the car and welcomed me back, telling me his name.  I am sure this was a gamekeeper from years ago, who still looks after the land around this area, he never appears to go near to the house though.  Although a bit odd and giving people an unnerving feeling I do feel him very much around the wooded area.  When we researched his name we did find that there had been a gamekeeper of that same name there. 

I am getting to like this location more each time I do go back.  I do feel that there has been some very odd goings on in this area, but more created by those in the physical rather that spirit people.  There is something special about the place and I do get a lot of drawing to return, so I am sure I will be back again sometime soon!
