Keep up to date with the fortnightly meetings of Karen's current physical mediumship circle.
Karen's new circle started in April 2007, and consists of herself, Johan, Paul and David. Their aim is to work together as a group to connect closer to the spirit world to assist in the creation of physical phenomena.
Karen works as the main medium of the group, but each member is vitally important in the work with the spirit world in this situation. They try as best as they can to meet every two weeks. This diary of their experiences has been put here to share with anyone else interested in this kind of work, and also for assisting in the development of any other physical circles, which may learn from reading of others experiences.
The circle are looking to promote the older aspects of physical mediumship, such as the use of a red light and the cabinet, but they are also looking at the creation of the new form of physical mediumship which appears to be occuring more. They basically work with their instincts and information from the spirit world to decide their direction. Hence you may find that they change their approach at times.

We started the night with native Indian music playing along with the red light on low. When Karen first went into her trance their appeared to be various illuminous shadows and light anomalies which seemed to manifest themselves in one particular corner of the room. To begin with we had a sprit person called Robert come through who introduced himself and said he would be speaking with us again soon he was very pleased to see us sitting together .
Approx 20 minutes after this it seemed their were transfigurations happening on Karen’s face the likes of which none of us have ever seen before along with some noticeable temp drops and breezes. It appeared to be a build up of energy which produced a flash of light from where Karen was sitting within her box this was witnessed by all of the sitters. Shortly after this it seemed like our individual spirit guides came through as Karen looked at us individually with different transfigured faces perhaps this maybe come clearer on future sittings.
Another flash of light was produced later along with the light dimming and coming back of its own accord. Towards the end we did have another spirit person come through we thought was Robert again but may have been another spirit who was apparently was a sailor from

3rd MAY
Present : Paul, Johan, Karen
This time we arrived with various pieces of equipment ie Camcorder / Dictaphone / Ion Detector to record some of the manifestations which were witnessed from our last session. We again started the evening in low level light conditions with Karen's red light in the cabinet and playing the same Native Indian music.
Karen went into trance and even though no spirits came through Karen after approx 20 minutes there seemed to be the same illuminous mass emanating from one of the corners of the room and noticeable drops in temperature occured throughout the evening. The transfiguration witnessed this time was much slower covering up to eight different faces, these covered an old woman / a man with big side burns / bearded man / to name but a few.
I think we will have to see if any come through again. The light dimmed and brightened up by itself without intervention. The CD player seems to stop by itself even though it was set on repeat and a noticable knock was heard in the room which we cannot explain.
Camcorder Evidence - nothing captured.
Dictaphone Evidence - nothing captured.
Ion Detector Evidence - unable to check due to lighting conditions, will need to look at repositioning on next sitting.

14th JUNE
Present : David and Karen
Karen was sat in the cabinet, red light was used as was music.
I saw a shadow when Karen was in the cabinet to left, also a monks hood and slight face, also a burnt mans face from possible Cromwell times, also a very spooky mans face. David tried to draw two of the faces he saw (see below)
Two white lights were seen during the session, one near Karen's left knee and the other near her left hand.
David then sat in the cabinet. A plane went overhead and gave Dave a little shock as he was picking up on a German fighter pilot! He experienced a pain in his chest and found it hard to breathe. Talked about a cottage and was a bit confused, wanted to know where he was. There were spirit eyes which could be seen by Karen.

28th JUNE
Present : Paul and Karen
Karen was sat in the cabinet, red light was used as was music.
Within about 30 secs of starting four main faces started to appear over Karen's face.
Man with a pencil moustache (straight, well groomed) and fat lips. Youngish. There were 2 elderly ladies with tight hair and round faced. One of the ladies had quivering lips as iff she was going to cry or shout. The other was a middle aged man.
A beam of white light of about 1in thick went from Karen's left knee over to the wall.
The red light dimmed and then returned to normal a couple of times.
Prominent tapping was heard in the corner to Karen's left most of the time.
Karen did a jolt to one side as if pushed on three occasions.

12th JULY
Present : David, Paul and Karen
Karen was sat in the cabinet, red light was used as was music.
Tapping sounds were heard again in the corner of the room, sounds a bit like morse code??
The stereo turned off by itself.
A knee height mist started to form across the room. This was quite transparent, but had waves in it, almost like ripples, and like it was moving. This could be seen by both David and Paul. This mist joined all three of us present together, and gradually grew.
The lights dimmed and brightened a few times.
At one point it felt like someone had walked through you, with goosebumps and shivers to show for it.
Paul had someone playing with his hair.
Karen's fingers moved around a lot, but no faces were to be seen this week.

26th JULY
Present: David, Paul, Johan, Karen
Karen was sat in the cabinet, with red light used occasionally, this was mainly spent in the dark, and music was used.
Taps were heard again from the corner. Sparks of light came from the trumpet, whicih was placed on the table in the centre of the circle.
The music was turned off by spirit three times.
There were feelings within the group of a possible child and an animal.
It seemed to get darker and also colder.
A light appeared at Karen's knee.
Karen's face glowed white as if lit up, there was no light on at all in the room at the time.
The trumpet moved on the table about 5mm.
Karen experienced seeing eyes as if from a black cat, and afterwards when talking about it, Paul said that he had seen the same at the base of the trumpet, but thought it might be his imagination.
David sat in the cabinet, with ther red light on and some background music.
A gentleman came through to speak.
Dr Charles Foster from the Victorian era. Lived in the Oxford Street area of London and had a private practice. Died at the age of 65 and had chest pains, his wife was present when he passed.
He used to go to Chichester and talked about the Punchbowl pub.
An orb was seen near the cabinet, the spotlight went brighter by itself, and seemed to respond to the music.

30th AUGUST
Present : Johan, Paul, Karen
We had a break for a while over the summer holidays and resumed on this occasion. We have decided to move the room around a little and moved the cabinet into the corner where all the taps seemed to be coming from in the past. Karen is now not sat within the cabinet as we are looking to start working as a whole group around a table in the centre. The cabinet makes up one of the spaces around the table.
We are now working as a group seance, with Karen moving into an altered state when the feeling is there. Karen went into an altered state two times throughout the evening and joined in with calling out to the spirit world etc for the rest of the evening.
Strange breezes were felt around the room and it appeared to light up a lot behind Johan. Johan could feel breezes most of evening and at one point felt like someone had walked through him.
He was also touched on the arm and the head.
He was also aware of a person standing between him and Paul.
High EMF readings were also taken during the seance. EMF stared on amber, this is rare as normally it remains on green.
We did some table tilting, which was just for a short period at the end of the evening and tried glass moving, without success. After doing this the EMF meter went to red for a short period when Karen asked them to come close and sit on the EMF. After another comment was made the EMF returned to green. This was very interesting.

13th SEPTEMBER
Present : Johan, Paul and Karen
Karen sat around the circle outside of the cabinet again for this session. She went off into an altered state at the beginning of the session and then also a couple more times later on.
Karen's face changed with a few different faces to what we have seen before.
Johan felt cold a few times.
Karen's hand felt wet at one point.
Red light dimmed by itself.
Stereo turned off by itself twice.
1th OCTOBER
Present : Johan, Paul, Les and Karen
We had a new member come along to try out our circle tonight, and are pleased to welcome Les on board.
Karen sat this week in the cabinet again as we had changed the circle to get everything set up energy-wise. (or so she thinks!!)
A misty image started to appear to the left of the cabinet of a small person, possibly a child?
Hands appeared in front of Paul's face
A green light was seen on the floor for a period of time near to the cabinet
3 or 4 loud taps were heard on the table in the corner which has the CD player on it
The red light distinctly dimmed of its own accord
Hands were seen on the side of the cabinet near to Karen
A coldness was felt throughout the room
Chest pains were felt by Karen before and after
A metalic pipe banging noise was heard by the side of the cabinet.
Karen's face blacked out completely for a period of time.
Various faces were transfigured -
Man with a pencil line moustache, a long face and big lips
Woman with large hair (blonde) and a big face
Lady with short blonde hair and a thin face
Lady with light hair of around 50 or 60 with a thin face

8th NOVEMBER
Present : Paul, Les and Karen
Karen sat in the cabinet again for this session with Paul and Less sitting opposite. We decided to start the sesson in the ditch black and then to put on the red light later on.
There was the shadow of a small person to the left of the cabinet on the wall which looked almost like someone wearing a bomber jacket with puffed out sleeves. Paul at first thoguht this was himself bu then remembered there was no light behind him to be able to cast a shadow of this kind. Paul was the only person to see it, but only because Les was not looking in that direction.
There was a strong feeling a someone present within the room.
A number of taps and noises were heard coming from the table on which the CD player is situated.
The red light dimmed considerably.
The cd player paused itself for a few seconds
A couple of faces showed over Karen's face, but her chin changed considerably in shape.
